Character Profile: The Raven

I did a guest vlog for TheCubicleBlindness! My first one! In the video I give a spoiler-free character profile of the Raven. You get to learn a little bit about the story and hopefully will be encouraged to pledge a few bucks toward my campaign to get published.

If you haven't made a pledge toward my campaign, please do so. All I'm asking for is a few dollars. I know times are tough, but everyone can spare a few bucks.

Blurry Moon, Blair Witch-ish, & Feelin Good!

Hereafter Book Review

My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Synopsis:  Can there truly be love after death?

Drifting in the dark waters of a mysterious river, the only thing Amelia knows for sure is that she's dead. With no recollection of her past life--or her actual death--she's trapped alone in a nightmarish existence. All of this changes when she tries to rescue a boy, Joshua, from drowning in her river. As a ghost, she can do nothing but "will" him to live. Yet in an unforgettable moment of connection, she helps him survive.

Amelia and Joshua grow ever closer as they begin to uncover the strange circumstances of her death and the secrets of the dark river that held her captive for so long. But even while they struggle to keep their bond hidden from the living world, a frightening spirit named Eli is doing everything in his power to destroy their newfound happiness and drag Amelia back into the ghost world . . . forever.

Thrilling and evocative, with moments of pure pleasure, "Hereafter" is a sensation you won't want to miss.

Help me reach $500: Exaulta Kickstarter Campaign

Exaulta Kickstarter Campaign LAUNCH!

The Campaign has LAUNCHED! Oh my lord am I terrified! I feel like I just stepped out onto a ledge and everyone is watching me. Man, I can't imagine what it's going to feel like when the book actually publishes and you guys can read it in full. Scary!
But also very exciting. The idea of you guys curled up on your beds or your favorite chairs, reading my book is the most amazing thing in the whole world. If I don't get this funding it is going to take me even longer to get the book finished and published. So I beg you to at least check out my campaign: CLICK HERE! It would truly mean so much to me and I cannot do this without you guys.
Below this video I am going to post the HTML codes to my two banners and the campaign widget. Since this isn't a contest, you don't get extra entries or anything like that for posting the codes. However you would help to spread the word and that is just as necessary as pledging.

Exaulta Kickstarter Campaign

Ok, I have some very exciting news to share with you guys. I am going to be launching a campaign to help me raise funding to finish and publish Exaulta. This campaign is going to be hosted over on kickstarter.com. That's right I'm taking steps to get my book out there! Finally!
I'm also including The Vengeance of Verona, A Guardian Novella and Slipped, A Novella in this campaign. So if I succeed in this campaign, you'll be getting two novellas and one full novel from me. How exciting is that!?!?!
By supporting me in this campaign you will not only be helping me make these works available to the world, but you have the opportunity to get some awesome signed stuff from me. I cannot wait to launch this campaign. I was going to start it today, but I have to wait for my bank account to be verified first and that could take about a week. So in the mean time. I thought I would let you guys in on the project and let you know how very excited I am to finally have a chance to get my books in your hands.

UPDATE: The campaign has LAUNCHED! Check out the campaign here!

What is Kickstarter?
Kickstarter is a website where artists can go to get funding for their projects. Anyone with an idea can start a campaign. There you will find game creators, writers, filmmakers, sculptors, and all that good stuff.
How does it work?
It's simple. I've set my goal for $5,000 and I have 45 days to reach the goal. If you want to help me get published, than you can choose to make a pledge of any dollar amount that you wish. If I reach or pass my goal by the 45 day marker, than I receive my funding and set to work on completing my project. If I don't reach the goal, than nothing happens. No one loses any money and I don't get my funding.
Rewards?
While hosting Kickstarter campaigns one has to have rewards that can be offered to pledgers. For example: Right now I have a reward set for $25. If you pledged $25, you get a an ebook copy of THE VENGEANCE OF VERONA, A Guardian Novella. Plus you get everything featured in the reward levels before it. Do you need to select a reward? No, you can just donate money to support my project.

LARGE Book Haul

This is a LARGE Book Haul :P Here I show you many books that I have gotten and all of which are signed.

Embrace by Jessica Shirvington Book Trailer

Synopsis: It starts with a whisper: “It’s time for you to know who you are…”

Violet Eden dreads her seventeenth birthday. After all, it’s hard to get too excited about the day that marks the anniversary of your mother’s death. As if that wasn’t enough, disturbing dreams haunt her sleep and leave her with very real injuries. There’s a dark tattoo weaving its way up her arms that wasn’t there before.

Violet is determined to get some answers, but nothing could have prepared her for the truth. The guy she thought she could fall in love with has been keeping his identity a secret: he’s only half-human—oh, and same goes for her.

A centuries-old battle between fallen angels and the protectors of humanity has chosen its new warrior. It’s a fight Violet doesn’t want, but she lives her life by two rules: don’t run and don’t quit. When angels seek vengeance and humans are the warriors, you could do a lot worse than betting on Violet Eden…

Giveaways Update

As you know, I'm giving away a book every week until I run out-- if that ever happens and I hope it never does. I LOVE giveaways. If you go to my giveaway page you can see my current giveaway, upcoming giveaways, past giveaways, and my giveaway policy.
You can also see all of the prizes that I have set aside just for giveaways. Before I was using the Amazon Carousal widget, which I didn't really care for. It was restrictive, always limiting the number of books that I could display. Also, I'm not a fan of Amazon's business policies and would prefer not to support them when I can avoid it. So I've come up with a new way to display my future prizes.

Partials by Dan Wells Book Trailer

Synopsis: Humanity is all but extinguished after a war with partials--engineered organic beings identical to humans--has decimated the world’s population. Reduced to only tens of thousands by a weaponized virus to which only a fraction of humanity is immune, the survivors in North America have huddled together on Long Island. The threat of the partials is still imminent, but, worse, no baby has been born immune to the disease in over a decade. Humanity’s time is running out.

When sixteen-year-old Kira learns of her best friend’s pregnancy, she’s determined to find a solution. Then one rash decision forces Kira to flee her community with the unlikeliest of allies. As she tries desperately to save what is left of her race, she discovers that the survival of both humans and partials rests in her attempts to answer questions of the war’s origin that she never knew to ask.

Combining the fast-paced action of The Hunger Games with the provocative themes of Battlestar Galactica, Partials is a pulse-pounding journey into a world where the very concept of what it means to be human is in question--one where our sense of humanity is both our greatest liability, and our only hope for survival.
